Q: What grants can I get for a heat pump?

£7,500 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, or £9,000 if your home is off the mains gas grid and currently on oil or LPG (from 21 July 2026). We apply for it on your behalf.

Q: I'm in a conservation area or the Kent Downs. Can I still get a heat pump?

Usually, yes. Protected landscapes and conservation areas can affect where the outdoor unit sits, so we check the planning position for your home before you commit.

Q: Is a period Kent home suitable for a heat pump?

Most are. Older homes sometimes need a fabric-first look or slightly larger radiators, which we assess as part of your survey.

Q: My home is off the gas grid and heats with oil. Is a heat pump worth it?

For most oil homes, yes. Running costs are close to or better than oil today, oil prices swing (they doubled between January and March 2026), and you qualify for the higher £9,000 grant.
