Today, we're changing our name — Fornax is now Ample.
This is something we've been building towards for a long time. If you've worked with us before, nothing about the people, the promises or the care behind your project has changed. The team is the same. The standards are the same. What's changed is the name on the door — and the reason for that is simple: we'd outgrown the old one.
Why a new name
When we started out, we set out to make home energy upgrades easier. Over time, what we actually do became something bigger. We don't just install heat pumps. We bring together the finance, the compliance and the support that turn a heating upgrade from a daunting, admin-heavy decision into something straightforward — and worth doing.
We needed a name that said that. One that was about you — the homeowners making their homes better, and the installers doing the work on the ground — rather than about us.
"Ample" is that name. It means enough, and more than enough. Enough warmth. Enough support. Enough room to do this properly, without compromise. It's a name about generosity and backing — which is exactly what we're here to do.
What we believe
For too long, the conversation about home energy has been about sacrifice. Spend more, expect less, brace yourself for the disruption. We don't see it that way.
We think a heating upgrade should be an upgrade — an investment in a better, warmer, more comfortable life, not a cost to be endured. A home that's nicer to live in. Running costs that make sense. One less thing to worry about. That's the future we're backing, and it's the idea behind everything we do.
We call it Backing Better Energy. It's a promise to stand behind the people doing the real work — to take on the risk, the paperwork and the complexity, so the journey is seamless and the partnership never falters.

What happens next
Over the coming weeks you'll see the new name and look roll out across everything — our website, our communications and the tools you use day to day. If you have a project underway, it carries on exactly as planned; you don't need to do anything.
This is a name change, but it's also a statement of intent. We're not watching from the sidelines. We're clearing the path — removing the obstacles that stop good homes getting better and good installers getting on with the job.
