What you get
We've got your back
The paperwork around a heat pump install can swallow a day per job. Ample takes it off your plate — the certification, the grants, the notifications, the handovers — so you can stay focused on the work itself.

Frequently asked questions
We've heard every question going — here are the ones that come up most.
We know cash flow is everything in this trade, so we pay you within one working day of each completed milestone — invoicing is automatic and every stage is tracked, so you always know where you stand. If you need funds sooner — say you’ve got a big, equipment-heavy job coming up — our Equipment Advance can help you bridge the gap (it’s available to limited companies). We’ll always talk you through what fits.
No standing charges, no membership fee, nothing to pay just to be on the platform. You pay a clear, fixed fee per project — and only when you’ve got work on, so there’s no overhead sitting on you between jobs. Everything’s transparent and agreed upfront, with no hidden extras.
No — you keep working the way you already do. Ample works with any MCS-compliant design tool you’re already using, so there’s no new system to learn and no rebuilding your process. We also have special rates with some software providers, so it’s worth asking us for details.
No — you don’t need your own MCS certification to work with Ample. Installs you do with us are certified through our accreditation, so the recognised standard and the grant eligibility are covered either way. If you’re already MCS-certified, that means you can offload the admin and cost of maintaining it; if you’re not, there’s no need to be. Either way, you focus on the installs and we carry the MCS side.
Pretty much all of it — the MCS certification, the grant paperwork, the compliance and the admin that come with every install. In fact, come up with something we don’t already handle and we’ll likely offer to take it off your plate too — leaving you free to focus on designing and installing great systems.
You’ll need an appropriate heating-system qualification, an unvented hot water cylinder qualification, and access to a qualified electrician. You don’t need your own MCS accreditation — that’s covered through ours — but it’s great news if you have one, as you’ll already be experienced with heat pumps and working to the standards we require. From there, we’ll check you meet our installer standards before your first job, so every install carries the same quality.
